Our History
After seeing the increased demand for kanikama in the states, Kyokuyo America (our parent company) created Ocean’s Kitchen to start manufacturing kanikama locally in the United States to leverage that popularity.
Kyokuyo America has built an 80-year-long global network supplying high-quality fishery products worldwide. Ocean’s Kitchen, however, is manufactured and made here in the United States. We opened our factory in Kent, Washington, in December 2024 and began producing kanikama in early February 2025.

Using Japanese production techniques inherited from our parent company, Kyokuyo America, we can offer the best kanikama possible. Instead of freezing our products, we chill our kanikama, resulting in a better taste and texture while retaining peak freshness.
